QPS Introduces Que! Fire CD-Rewritable Drive

QPS Introduces Que! Fire CD-Rewritable Drive

General Interest Jul 21,1999 0

"..QPS Inc. Tuesday announced that it will introduce its new Que!(TM)Fire(TM) drives, the FireWire interface versions of its Que! CD-Rewritable drive, at MACWORLD Expo New York this week.

With an average access time of 120ms, the speedy drives are designed for Apple G3 and PC desktop computers. They will also be compatible with any future FireWire-equipped computers.

Que! Fire comes in two versions: a 6x4x24x speed model and a 4x4x24x model. Both drives feature 1x through 24x rotational speeds. Like the original Que! Drive, they can read/write data and/or record music on CD-R and CD-RW media, which may then be played on any CD-ROM drive or CD player.

They have 2MB of buffer RAM to support application flexibility and are ideal for MP3 recording, desktop publishing and data archiving. Que! Fire drives come ready to plug and play. They include CD mastering software (Toast for MAC, Easy CD Creator for the PC, and Direct CD for MAC and PC), CD-Recordable media, CD-Rewritable media, a carrying bag, and necessary accessories.

The Que! Fire 6x4x24x sells for $399 (MSRP), and the 4x4x24x model sells for $299 (MSRP). Availability is scheduled for August.." NULL
