Rimage announced several new products at NAB 2006 show... Rimage Corporation (Nasdaq:RIMG), the world leader in disc publishing, today announced the release of the industry's highest performing, enterprise-quality Blu-ray disc publishing solution.

The new solution incorporates up to four Pioneer BDR-101A Blu-ray Disc/DVD writers with Rimage Producer III disc publishers -- the industry's highest performing, most reliable systems for automatically creating large volumes of professional CDs and DVDs with customized digital content and direct-to-disc printed labels.

Rimage also announced today the industry's first thermal printable Blu-ray disc with leading digital recording solutions company TDK.

The combined announcements result in a robust Blu-ray disc publishing solution from Rimage that leverages the company's unique direct-to-disc thermal retransfer print technology and quickly produces DVDs with 25 GB of storage capacity.

"The Rimage Producer's powerful combination of robotics, print technology and software make it the perfect solution for extracting the true benefits Blu-ray has to offer in terms of capacity and performance," said Manny Almeida, chief operating officer for Rimage. "We are excited to partner with Pioneer to make this innovative solution available."

The Pioneer BDR-101A allows professional users to test and author high-definition Blu-ray disc content, while also delivering the ability for high-capacity data storage. The drive can read BD-ROM discs, read/write single layer BD-R and BD-RE discs, read DVD-ROM, and read/write most DVD recordable media formats.

"We are excited Rimage -- a longtime innovator in disc publishing -- has selected Pioneer's Blu-ray recorders to be a part of its Blu-ray disc publishing solution," said Andy Parsons, SVP Product Development for Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. "We are confident our technology will thrive within Rimage systems, which have years of proven success handling and publishing high volumes of data."

Pricing and product availability for the Rimage Blu-ray disc publishing solution will be announced within the second quarter of 2006.
