Samsung today announced the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet, an affordable tablet designed for both work and play.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is slim and lightweight thanks to its metal unibody. It slips easily into a small tote for portability and minimalist style. It is available in Oxford Gray, Angora Blue or Chiffon Pink.

It comes with a 10.4 inch TFT display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 on a slim and light build, One UI 2 on Android, and S Pen in box and ready to go.

The tablet is powered by an eight-core CPU chip and comes with 4GB of memory. It also supports an 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front selfie lens It is equipped with a 7040mAh battery, supports up to 12 hours of web browsing time, up to 13 hours of video playback and 149 hours of audio playback on a single charge.

Samsung will provide two storage options, including 64GB and 128GB.

The tablet is also equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack and comes pre-installed with UI 2.0 system, based on Android 10.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite includes dual speakers with sound by AKG and Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound.

The tablet comes with an updated S Pen. Weighing only 7.03g, the S Pen is light and easy-to-use, and its improved pen latency and 0.7mm pen tip deliver greater precision for notetaking and drawing. When you’re finished capturing your ideas, the S Pen snaps magnetically onto the right side of the tablet, or to the optional book cover case. The S Pen on the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is also battery-free.

Using the S Pen and Samsung Notes, you can transform handwritten notes into typed text instantly. Categorize and search your notes with ease through tags, highlight important passages and enlarge the content on the notes with the 300% zoom feature. All your notes can be easily exported as a PDF, JPEG image, text file or Microsoft Word document.

The tablet supports LTE & Wi-Fi speeds, offers 3D sound, and an expandable microSD (up to 1TB). In addition, it syncs your Galaxy Smartphone, so you never miss a call when it comes in. It also allows you to reply to urgent text messages, so you’re never out of the loop.

Samsung Knox delivers defense-grade security. Your private data is protected from malware and malicious attacks by leveraging the hardware-backed and multi-layered Knox security platform.

Samsung has partnered with YouTube and Spotify so you can get even more out of your favorite apps on the Galaxy range. Galaxy Tab S6 Lite users can enjoy ad-free YouTube videos, the ability to download and watch videos offline and free access to YouTube Music and YouTube Kids with YouTube Premium for 4 months. Spotify integrates into the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite’s user interface, so you can easily search for music and podcasts, or even set your favorite song as your alarm. The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite can also wirelessly connect to your home speaker setup, so you can play your favorite playlists from Spotify on another device or speaker around your home, all controlled by your tablet.

You can take calls and send and receive text messages through your Samsung account on your tablet, even when your smartphone is out of reach or in another room, or stay connected with friends and colleagues using Google Duo video calls on Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. Use the improved Daily Board display to control music, view your calendar, check the weather and write quick memos and reminders. The new Bixby features and capabilities such as Bixby Voice, Bixby Vision and Bixby Routines will also enhance your overall productivity and entertainment experiences.

With Samsung Kids, you can set daily playtime allowances, restrict access to certain apps and introduce your kids to the digital world safely with a range of exciting, colorful learning apps and games.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Wi-Fi version is expected to cost €379 in Europe, while the LTE model will cost €439.

Samsung also announce that the Galaxy S10 Lite will be available in the US starting from April 17th, and it will cost $650. You’ll be able to buy it unlocked in one color, Prism Black, from Samsung’s online store, Amazon, and Best Buy’s website.

The Galaxy S10 Lite is a budget version of the Galaxy S10 flagship, and it has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display at 2400 x 1080 resolution, a Snapdragon 855 processor, and a triple-lens rear camera setup with a 5-megapixel f/2.4 macro lens; a 48-megapixel F2.0 wide-angle lens with “Super Steady OIS;” and a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide with a 123-degree angle lens.
