Teac expands consumer product line with premium CD-R media

Teac expands consumer product line with premium CD-R media

General Interest Apr 27,2000 0

"..(MONTEBELLO, CA) TEAC today announces it has begun shipping high quality CD-R media to participating retailers and distributors throughout the country. The company now offers consumers its own brand of extended capacity CD-R media used for recording audio and data, including MP3 and other Internet music on a CD-R/RW drive.

TEAC’s CD-R media is certified to record on all CD-R and CD-RW drives and at all recording speeds up to 8X. Each disc has an extended capacity of 700 megabytes for data or a comparable 80 minutes for audio, exceeding standard 650MB/74 minute CD-R media capacity by 50MB or 6 minutes. Extended capacity provides more room for back-up applications or for longer track audio CDs that may be cut off by standard capacity media during the recording process. TEAC CD-R media is also manufactured for the highest reflectivity, reliability and life expectancy, with a “silver on silver” formulation of silver phthalocyanine dye and a silver reflective layer. It carries a scratch and abrasion-resistant top coating for thermal and inkjet printing.

TEAC CD-R media is available in individual, 10 and 50-pack versions at an MSRP of $1.79, $12.99 and $39.99 respectively. Each comes with a limited lifetime warranty and an anticipated life-span of one hundred years. The media is packaged in single and 10-pack jewel cases or on a 50-pack reusable spindle..." NULL
