The Toshiba 1TB SSHD has been designed for notebook users seeking for a high-capacity storage medium while still achieving some of the advantages that SSDs deliver.

On the other hand, throughout the testing, hitting outside of the cache left performance adequate for an 1TB HDD spinning at 5,400 RPM, but it often lagged behind some of the comparables.

Priced at around $110, the Toshiba 1TB SSHD provides a solid price to performance ratio, but we think that see some additional NAND (16GB or 32GB) onboard would make the SSHD more attractive.
