With its high level of integration, advanced power management and leading edge read-write performance (up to 12x write, 40x read), the OTI-9071 controller, used in conjunction with the OTI-9790 R/RW controller, provides a low cost, high performance CD-RW drive solution for both desktop personal computer (PC) and portable PC applications, as well as consumer audio products. As a result, external peripheral requirements for CD-RW drives based on Oak's OTI-9071/9790 solution are minimized -- microprocessor, flash/EEPROM, and track buffer memory.
