Acer Adds $199 Model To Chromebook Line
Acer today announced the availability of a new $199.99 entry-level model in its new Acer C720 Chromebook line.
The new C720-2848 Chromebook is powered by an Intel Celeron 2955U processor based on the Intel Haswell micro-architecture to deliver up to 8.5 hours of battery life. It also comes with a 16 GB SSD, 2 GB of DDR3 memory, an HD webcam, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi connectivity and a dual speaker design.
Acer is offering its customers up to 100 GB of free Google Drive storage for the first two years after purchase.
The Acer C720-2848 is available now from Amazon.com and Best Buy for $199.99 in the United States. It will be available at the Acer Store in December. It comes with a standard one-year parts and labor warranty, which can be extended to three years with the Acer Advantage service.
