Oak Technology announces advancements in DVD-Recordable and Combo optical storage technologies
Oak Technology today announced advancements to the company's optical storage technology foundation from which new generations of DVD-Recordable and CD-R/RW+DVD combo semiconductor-based solutions will be based.
Oak is augmenting its leadership optical storage device technologies by supporting a variety of optical media standards, eliminating growing consumer resistance and concerns about disc compatibility. By developing its technology to enable drive support of multiple media formats including DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, and CD-RW discs, Oak presents a highly attractive, high-performance, cost effective, and extremely complementary architecture foundation for future Oak optical solutions and OEM consumer products.
