OnePlus 7 Pro Screen to Support HDR10+
OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone, which will be launched alongside the OnePlus 7, will support the HDR10+screen format.
While HDR10 requires panels with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, HDR10+ goes considerably brighter with a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. That high peak brightness is not harmful for your eyes. VDE, an independent testing and certification institute, has rated the display with its Safety for Eyes certification.
Compatible HDR content is expected to look stunning on the phone’s screen with rich detail in dark shadows and bright skies.
The royalty-free HDR10+ format has been so far restricted to a very small number of TVs, Blu-ray players and smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S10.
