Google has decided to beat smartphone leakers by posting the Pixel 4's back and camera on Twitter.

"Well, since there seems to be some interest, here you go! Wait 'til you see what it can do. #Pixel4" Made by Google tweeted.

The dark Pixel 4 photo shows a square camera module on the back, with a pair of lenses, a flash module and a couple of other sensor modules. Also noteworthy is the apparent lack of a rear fingerprint reader, in contrast to past models.

While the Pixel 3 featured outstanding image quality, many of Google's biggest competitors are simply able to offer different photography perspectives through the use of multiple lenses. It seems that Google is coming up with a combination of a new optics system packed with computational photography prowess.

Rumors and mockups of a square iPhone XI camera module with three cameras are have also been circulating on the internet.

The Pixel 4 smartphone isn’t expected to ship until October. It’s expected that the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will come in sizes largely similar to their predecessors.

There have also been hints that Google will build its Project Soli technology into 2019’s Pixel phones. Soli uses a radar that can detect slight movements of a person’s fingers in space above the device. Project Soli could offer a new way for Pixel 4 owners to interact with the device.

Google has also confirmed that the next-generation Google Assistant will launch on the Pixel 4 this fall.
