Chinese KONKA Enters the North American Market With Blockbuster Micro LED TV Line-up
Chinese technology company KONKA is showcasing its first Micro LED Smart Wall, as well as other display technologies such as 8K OLED TV, 8K Mini LED TV and 8K LED TV at CES 2020.
During a media interview at the annual tech fest, Zhou Bin, President of KONKA Group, announced that KONKA is entering the North American with a local management team and region-specific products. Konka North America will be based in Southern California.
At CES 2020, KONKA has on display its self-developed 236-inch 8K APHAEA Smart Wall, a video display powered by Micro LED and dubbed as the "screen of the future." The 236-inch 8K APHAEA Smart Wall was fully developed by KONKA -- from design to assembly. KONKA is is one of only two companies that are currently able to holistically design and produce Micro LED 8K products.
Powered by the third generation of Micro LED self-illuminating semiconductor technology, KONKA's APHAEA Smart Wall contains one hundred million RGB LED chips processed with high speed and precision. The modular technology enables Konka to offer a wide variety of resolutions and screen sizes. Konka's Smart Wall can provide a personalized viewing experience that supports 2K, 4K, 6K and 8K resolutions and aspect ratios of 16:9, 21:9 or 1:1.
Equipped with Konka's proprietary 8K processor, the Smart Wall features a chip-level optical design.
In addition, the company's AIoT living area is set up at CES to provide attendees with a view of KONKA's vision for future smart homes. The area uses transparent OLED display technology with multi-screen interactions.
KONKA has recently stepped up its pace of global expansion. In August 2019, the company set-up a joint venture in Egypt, and established a complete supply chain system to facilitate the firm's expansion into Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the United States. At the same time, KONKA is also committed to developing technological innovations outside of its home market with the KKSTAR incubator. To date, the KKSTAR incubator has established 15 innovation bases in 7 Chinese cities and 5 foreign countries.
