"..Today at PC Expo, ADS Technologies announced the Pyro 1394 DVD-RAM Drive, the latest addition to its Pyro 1394/FireWire storage solution line.

By integrating the hot-swappable performance of FireWire connectivity with Panasonic's new DVD-RAM Drive, the Pyro 1394 DVD-RAM Drive features 9.4 GB of storage with a sustained transfer rate of 2.8 MB per second, and seek time of 75 ms. This rewritable optical drive will offer the largest capacity in removable storage at a cost of $.005 per MB.

The Pyro 1394 DVD-RAM Drive is capable of reading and writing data as well as reading DVD-ROM, DVD-R, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW and CD audio. It is backward compatible with 2.6 GB DVD-RAM..." NULL
