The new TravelMate 8100 series, designed on Intel's latest "Sonoma" platform, is based on next-generation Intel Mobile Centrino technology that supports PCI Express(TM) architecture with 533MHz FSB and utilizes DDR2 533 memory for truly exceptional performance. Supporting Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processors with speeds of up to 2GHz and the new Intel(R) 915PM Express chipset with 533MHz System Bus, the TravelMate 8100 offers full wireless connectivity through the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG network connection chipset that harnesses the IEEE 802.11a/b/g tri-mode WiFI Certified(TM) standard. Standard system memory is 512MB DDR2 533 that is scaleable to 2048MB while the ATA/100 Hard Disk offers a storage capacity of up to an exceptional 100GB.
