Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 Pro Argb
3. Conclusion
The Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 was a model we liked, however, we felt it lacked some performance, probably due to the used fans and its rotating fan curve strategy. In some tests, the smaller Liquid Freezer III 280 model had comparable performance, so we chose this as our favorite model. Arctic updated the 360mm variation with new fans and now we have the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 Pro model, which promises even higher performance. The new fans spin much faster than what we have seen with the non-Pro version (3000rpm vs 2000rpm) so that in theory should mean two things. Increased performance and Increased sound levels. Both claims were found to be correct in our tests.
The Liquid Freezer III 360 Pro model has somewhat higher performance at 65 & 105 watts (at least with the AMD 7950X) compared with the non-Pro variation and at the 222watt TDP, we saw smaller performance differences. The sound levels are increased as well, so in max rpm (3000) the sound levels are very high compared with the non-Pro version, and testing with an open-air bench table was somewhat uncomfortable. However, you can adjust the rotating fan curve to reduce sound levels, which isn't affecting much performance. So comparing the standard and Pro versions, we vote for the PRO version, due to its increased performance, newer 120mm fans, and the fact that you can adjust the fan curve according to your needs. The retail price of the tested product is around 105 Euro, which is a very good price for a tested and proven product with 6 years of warranty.
