be quiet! Light Loop 360mm
5. Conclusion
The Light Loop is the third attempt from be quiet! to introduce a high-performance liquid cooling product that not only looks good but also performs very well! The product's build quality is top notch and the retail package is as always complete. The ARGB has been improved both in the base/pump and at the used Light Wings LX 120mm high-speed fans so the overall results look very pleasant and good to your PC Case.
The Light Loop comes in two different sizes depending on your needs and overall case dimensions (240/360mm). For our tests, we tested the "top" sized model the 360mm which can be ordered either in white or black color. The retail box is big and includes all the needed cables/screws/accessories you might need to install it, either at Intel or AMD platforms. As a bonus, be quiet! has included a six-way ARGB/Power splitter, in order to better organize/manage the included fans and other cooling products you might have inside your PC case.
The installation process is very easy to follow and be quiet! has included a printed manual and of course you can view official online product videos if you are an amateur in the whole cooling scene. We didn't have any major issues and you must follow some basic rules to keep performance at max levels. There will be no problem with big-sized RAM modules and the included long (400mm) hose tubes you will fit the Light Loop even at full ATX cases. In this model, be quiet! also introduce mounting plates, especially for the AMD platform with an 8mm offset, which we found to add to the cooling efficiency of the product, at least with our test system. be quiet! Talks about up to 4.5 Celsius, we found that 2 Celsius can be gained with the same settings and same CPU by using the 8mm offset (AMD5 only)
Passing to the performance area...now things are getting very interesting. Due to the design of the radiator and the used 120mm fans that have high RPM speeds, the Light Loop will rock your CPU temperatures, resulting in the best results we have seen at our lab, even from bigger-sized liquid coolers and of course air coolers. The performance gap is there, especially compared with air coolers, so this product, at least for the AMD Platform, is a must. Of course, high performance also means that you can expect higher noise levels than other liquid coolers, however, this can also be fine-tuned by your motherboard's air control software. Looking at retail price, this product is high priced around 150 Euro, which means it's expensive, compared with other similar size liquid coolers (almost double the price compared with the Arctic Liquid Freezer III).
Overall, we have no problem with suggesting the be quiet! Light Loop for all users who wish high performance and look. As with all be quiet! products, the Light Loop comes with a 3year warrant to have you covered.
