Google Offers 1TB Of Cloud Storage For $10
Google has significantly slashed the prices for its Drive cloud storage service, "thanks to a number of recent infrastructure improvements," according to the company.
Google has lowered the price of its monthly storage plans to $1.99 for 100GB (previously $4.99), $9.99 for 1TB (previously $49.99), and $99.99 for 10TB.
Like before, storage continues to work across Drive, Gmail and Google+ Photos. And Google's 15GB plan remains free.
You can sign up for one of these new Google Drive plans at www.google.com/settings/storage. If you already pay for storage, you'll automatically move to a better plan at no additional cost.
Google's new prices should add some pressure to other top players in the cloud storage market.
Microsoft is offering OneDrive users 7 GB of free storage. For $25 per year users get an additional 50 GB, for $50 per year users get an additional 100 GB, and for $100 per year users can get an additional 200 GB of cloud storage.
Users who choose with Box can get 10 GB of free storage. For $5 per month, they can get 100 GB of space. Box's Business plan offers users 1,000 GB of storage for $15 per month per user, but there must be a minimum of three users on the plan, bringing the minimum price to $45.
Dropbox users get 2 GB of free storage. Users can upgrade to 100 GB by getting the Pro plan, which costs $9.99 per month. For $15 per month per user, users can get an unlimited amount of cloud storage with Dropbox's Business plan -- however, the plan requires that there be at least five users, so the minimum price is $75 per month.
