The Predator is an 8X4X32X CD-RW drive, but is currently shipping with a USB 1.1 adapter offering 4X4X6X performance, the maximum re-write and read speeds for the USB 1.1 interface. A FireWire adapter model will also be available in the first quarter of 2001 for $329.95, with USB 2.0 and PCMCIA adapters to follow later in the year.
