Nero Announces Player Certified for Nero Digital Cinema Profile: I-O Data's AVel LinkPlayer2
Nero announces that I-O DATA's AVel LinkPlayer2 is the latest CE device certified for the Nero Digital Cinema Profile.
The AVel Link Player2 is currently available in the United States for a suggested retail price of $249.
The Nero Digital(TM) Cinema Profile, which will be available via a software upgrade in May, supports MPEG4-Part 2 and AAC standards, and delivers high definition (HD) 720p resolution video and 5.1 channel audio for greatly enhanced movie, sports and television viewing experiences.
"As more HD content becomes available to consumers, there is a growing need for devices and technologies to deliver it efficiently throughout the digital home," said Jack Akita, Director of Business Development, I-O DATA DEVICE USA, Inc. "The Nero Digital(TM) Cinema Profile allows us to offer our customers the highest quality transfer of video and audio content."
"Sophisticated home networking devices such as the AVel LinkPlayer2 require a reliable means to stream audio and video content from the computer to the entertainment center," said Udo Eberlein, President, Nero Inc. "Nero Digital(TM) Cinema will be unmatched in its ability to maintain the integrity and quality of high definition video and 5.1 channel surround sound audio as it courses through a digital home network."
Employing Nero Digital(TM) Cinema, the AVel LinkPlayer2 will allow consumers to enjoy high definition video and surround sound playback of content streamed from networked PC or Macintosh computers and external hard drives through their home entertainment systems. In addition, a USB2.0 port located on the front of the player allows for audio and video files from iPods and digital cameras to be quickly accessed and enjoyed on large screen monitors and home audio systems.
In addition to Nero Digital(TM), the AVel LinkPlayer2 is compatible with other popular video standards. HD mode allows you to enjoy pictures and movies in High-Definition (video up to 1080i / photo up to 2048x1532).
