Xiaomi's Redmi 7, the latest smartphone in the new Redmi brand, is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 Mobile Platform and offers enhanced water resistance.

Redmi 7 offers the latest P2i splash-proof technology for better resistance against water damage, and TUV eye protection certification. In Chinese mainland, Redmi 7 will be available on 26 March starting at RMB 699.

Redmi 7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 Mobile Platform. This chipset features the Qualcomm Kryo 250 Octa-core CPU, which consists of four performance and four power-saving cores.

Featuring a 6.26″ HD+ Dot Drop display, Redmi 7 has 4-sided curved gradient design that comes in three colors: Comet Blue, Lunar Red and Eclipse Black. Using the same camera setup as Mi 6, the 12MP rear camera has a sensor with 1.25μm pixels. The front camera supports using hand gestures for selfies.

With an upgraded 4000mAh battery and through system optimizations, Redmi 7 has a stand-by time of up to 400 hours. The smartphone also offers an increase in volume to ensure clarity during media playback and in calls by using a larger speaker than its predecessor. Redmi 7 is also equipped with an infrared sensor, so you can use it as a universal remote, compatible with a large number of home electronics and appliances.

In order to ensure durability, Redmi 7 uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for its front display. P2i splash-proof technology is also applied to the entire device for Redmi 7. The 20nm thin liquid-repellent coating on the surface of the device, earpiece as well as its USB port offer effective protection against rain and sweat. The display for Redmi 7 is TÜV Rheinland certified — by turning on reading mode, it will reduce the likeliness of visual fatigue.

Redmi 7 open sale in Chinese mainland will start at 10am on 26 March, and will retail at RMB 699 for the 2GB+16GB version, RMB 799 for the 3GB+32GB version and RMB 999 for the 4GB+64GB version.

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi also presented the Redmi Note 7 Pro. it also comes with a powerful 4000mAh battery and gas a similar design to the Redmi 7.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro can boast with flagship dual camera (48MP+5MP). It comes with a larger 6.3″ display, protected with the fifth generation of Corning Gorilla glass. In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 675 SoC.

Redmi is also going to release its own version of Airdots in black color. You get a new synchronization technology, Bluetooth v5 support, long battery life in a minimum weight — only 4,1 grams each earphone.
