Plextor releases its new PlexEasy (PX-650US) external DVD/CD burner in the European market. First announced in December the PlexEasy is a stand-alone optical storage device with a host of special features. PlexEasy is a 8x DVD/CD Writer with a built-n SD/MMC card reader and a USB connector. It has the ability to connect directly to a wide variety of devices including both mass storage devices and Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) devices such as tablets, smart phones, hard disks, flash drives, camcorders, and digital cameras. No computer is required, the drive is controlled directly by buttons on the top and operational status can be checked through LCD screen.

PlexEasy can also be connected to a PC or notebook, offering the full functionality of an external DVD burner, with 8x writing speed and support for all types of CDs and DVDs.

Plextor will offer 2 years of 'Fast Warranty Service' in the EU, Norway and Switzerland for the PlexEasy (and 1 year carry-in in other countries). The Plextor PlexEasy's (PX-650US) is available for a recommended end user price (including VAT) of €109.
