T-Mobile USA will soon introduce a new Windows Mobile smartphone it's calling the Shadow, according to unconfirmed reports. This model will supposedly be a version of the HTC Juno, and offer a number of advanced features.

The Shadow may be the first Windows Mobile 6 Standard device with a VGA (480 by 640 pixel) display. Below its 2.6-inch screen will be a D-pad, in the middle of which will reportedly be a trackball.

A SureType keyboard usable when this model in portrait mode will slide out from the bottom. In this type of keyboard, the way each key is pressed controls which of two letters is typed.

In addition to being a GSM phone, the Shadow will reportedly have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0.

This device will supposedly use a 201 MHz processor from TI, have 128 MB of RAM, 256 MB of ROM, and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

A 2.0 MP camera will round out the features.

It is not yet known when the T-Mobile Shadow will go on sale, or at what price.

When the Shadow is released, it will one of several Windows Mobile models in this carrier's line up. It is currently offering the Dash and the Wing, and the Kaiser is rumored to be on the docket to be T-Mobile's first 3G smartphone.
