Toshiba 4K Ultra HD TV Series Now Available at US Retailers

Consumer Electronics Oct 10,2013 0

Toshiba's new L9300U Series of 4K Ultra HD TVs is now available at select US retailers in 58" ($3,999), 65" ($5,499) and 84" ($16,999) screen sizes. Toshiba will be also providing the BDX6400 4K Upscaling Symbio Blu-ray Player and the SBX5065 300 Watt Sound Strip free with 4K Ultra HD TV purchases. The Toshiba L9300U Series TVs are powered by Toshiba?s second generation CEVO 4K Quad+Dual Core Engine. Technologies such as Resolution Restoration, Color Restoration and Surface Brilliance Enhancement are promising to create life-like images.

Although these units are shipping with HDMI 1.4 level capability, Toshiba will also provide a free firmware upgrade to HDMI 2.0 level capability this December 2013 to support 4K 60 fps content.

In addition to 4K image processing, the L9300U Series includes the ClearScan 240Hz refresh rate technology and the Expert Mode and ColorMaster Calibration capability.

The L9300U Series also includes Cloud TV functionality, offering access to media apps, an open Browser with wireless keyboard, MediaShare to access content from other DLNA-enabled devices, a MediaGuide, Skype video calling along with built-in Wi-Fi and WiDi for both router and peer-to-peer wireless capabilities.
