Toshiba Releases Four New Android Tablets in Japan
Toshiba has just announced four new Android 4.0 tablets
in Japan. The AT830, AT700, AT570 and AT500 models come
with a 13.3", 10.1", 7.7" and 10.1" screens,
respectively.
The AT830 is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU running at
1.4GHz, it has a 13.3" HD+ IPS LED Backlight screen with
a 1600 x 900 resolution, 64GB of internal memory and
1GB of RAM, a 2Mpx front facing camera and a 5Mpx rear
facing one, Digital TV and 1Seg, WiFi BGN, Bluetooth 3.0
and a micro HDMI port. The device weigs 1Kg and its
size is 343.8 x 211.3 x 9.9mm. It has a 13h battery
lifespan and its price is set at around 80,000 Yen ($998).
The AT700 comes with a Texas Instrument OMAP 4430 CPU clocked at 1.2Ghz, 64GB of memory, 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0, a 10.1 WXGA IPS LED Backlight screen, a 2Mpx front facing camera and a 5Mpx rear facing one, WiFi BGN, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro HDMI. Its weight is 535g and it is siezed at 256 x 176 x 7.7mm. Powered by a 7h battery, it will retail for about 70,000 Yen ($874).
The AT570 will come in two different flavors with a 64GB version and 32GB one. Both tablets feature the same basic specifications including an Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 7.7-inch WXGA EL screen, WiFi BGN, Bluetooth 3.0, a 2Mpx front facing camera and a 5Mpx rear facing one, along with an HDMI Out. Weighting at 332g with a size of 204.5 x 15.2 x 7.9mm and a 10h battery lifespan, the tablets will retail in Japan for about 70,000 Yen ($874) and 59,000 Yen ($736), respectively.
Finally the AT500 will also come in 64GB and 32GB versions. Both will feature the same basic specifications including an Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU running at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 10.1" WXGA IPS LED screen, WiFi BGN, Bluetooth 3.0, 2Mpx front camera, 5Mpx rear camera and HDMI Out.
