ATI Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:ATYT)(TSX:ATY) today announced that Toshiba has selected RADEON(R) IGP platform technology for a new line of Satellite(R) notebooks. One of the world's top notebook manufacturers, Toshiba will use RADEON(R) 7000 IGP and RADEON(R) 9000 IGP technology in four new A-series Satellite notebook designs. Designed as desktop replacements, Toshiba's A-series notebooks offer users a range of designs to choose from including business value, high end performance and content creation. In addition to ATI's integrated graphics platform technology, Toshiba will also be using the award-winning MOBILITY(R) RADEON(R) 9700 to power the Satellite P10-824.

"With a broad and growing user base for our Satellite series of notebooks, it is imperative to design systems with the flexibility and performance to handle today's most visually demanding applications," said, Masahiko Fukakushi, Vice President, Personal Computer and Network Company, Toshiba Corporation. "By selecting ATI's platform technology we can deliver an outstanding visual experience to our users with the added value of highly efficient power management and broad media connectivity."

Toshiba will offer four new Satellite notebook designs based on ATI platform technology. For the digital media connoisseur, Toshiba offers the A75, which boasts an Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 processor and a host of connectivity options for digital media and peripherals. For the desktop replacement, the A70 includes top-of-the-line desktop components, widescreen display and integrated wireless connectivity. For the entry level consumer and commercial users, Toshiba offers the A60 and A65. These notebooks feature Intel(R) Celeron(R) Processors and come equipped with such features as CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives and integrated wireless.

"When designing a desktop replacement notebook it is crucial to provide platform technology that exceeds standards for graphics performance while remaining frugal on power," said Reuven Soraya, Director of Marketing, Integrated Business Unit, ATI Technologies. "We are pleased Toshiba has selected RADEON IGP technology for these new designs and further validates our market position as the industry leader in mobile graphics technology."
