New Toshiba Gigabeat F11, F21 and F41 MP3 Players
Toshiba just started to sell the Gigabeat F-series MP3 Players in the US, and already today announces new updated models - F11, F21 and F41.
The new Gigabeat F-Series players are updates of the F10, F20 and F40 that are on the market right now. The new players employ new hard-drive with perpendicular recording making the players lighter and smaller.
The Toshiba Gigabeat F41 is 10g lighter and 3mm slimmer than the Gigabeat F40, giving it a width of 16mm like the F10 or F20. Apparently their is no new 60GB HDD available with perpendicular recording as Toshiba did not announce a F61.
Toshiba also added photo viewing feature and a PC software called ROOM to manage photos to the new gigabeat players.In addition, with Toshiba's CD Rip Rec software, all of the new gigabeat models come with a cradle which features a dedicated 'CD Rip Rec' button to enable a direct rip of CD content to the player.
All models come in new colors and all boasting a large 2.2" colour display with a QVGA resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.
The F11 model comes in three colors, the F21 in two and the F40 just in one color. All start selling end of May and beginning of June in Japan.
