Later this month Pioneer will release in Japan the XW-BTS1-W, a portable speaker that can wirelessly playback audio files streamed by smartphones or other Bluetooth-enabled devices. The device has a wooden cabinet to suppress vibrations during music playback . It offers Bluetooth Ver.2.1 + EDR connectivity and supports A2DR and SBC files. It also packs a 10W (5W x 2ch) digital amplifier, two 50mm speakers along with a bass-reflex system. Its playback frequency range is 80Hz ~ 20kHz.



The system's size is 250 ? 88.5 ? 132.5mm (W x D x H) and its weight is 1.1 kg.

The XW-BTS1-W will retail in Japan for about 10,000 yen ($113.)
