Uber has reached a settlement with the family of the woman killed by an Uber self-driving vehicle in Arizona.

This was confirmed by Cristina Perez Hesano, attorney with the firm of Bellah Perez in Glendale, as Reuters reports. Terms of the settlement were not given.

Elaine Herzberg, 49, died after being hit by an Uber self-driving SUV in the Phoenix suburb of Tempe earlier this month.

The accident could stall the development and testing of self-driving vehicles. Uber has already suspended its testing, while Toyota Motor and Nvidia have also done so. Regarding Nvidia, the chipmaker's Chief Executive Jensen Huang said on Wednesday that Uber did not use the self-driving platform architecture, Nvidia DRIVE, and Uber developed its own sensing and drive technology.
