CeBIT 2006: Plunging into Nero@Home's World of Multimedia
Nero has its own stand at the CeBIT fair for the first time - a completely furnished house.
In Hall 2, Stand B 20, visitors can experience the complete range of digital media technology in a realistic environment showing four furnished rooms - living room, bedroom, office and studio.
Sitting on the couch in Nero@Home's living room, visitors have the chance to look at PC and TV in a completely new way. Using the remote control and the media manager Nero Home, TV consumers become creative multimedia users. In addition, visitors get to know the numerous features of Nero 7 Premium and can for example edit videos, set them to music, create DVDs or create an animated slide show from photos. The company presents a brand new version of Nero 7 Premium offering various new features and functions, such as the blue-laser technologies "Blu-ray" and "HD-DVD".
From the office of Nero@Home you can call someone at home for free: Nero SIPPS allows free calls worldwide into all networks. This way visitors as well as those at home can test the quality of voice over IP technology with their own ears. Those who need more than just a voice as a sign of life from the fair may also send an e-mail with their photo taken in the studio at Nero's stand. Nero PhotoShow Deluxe will not only demonstrate how fast you can process and send digital photos, but also how easy it is to edit photos and even to retouch the first signs of CeBIT exhaustion.
If your feet are worn-out and your mind is tired, relax on the large bed in Nero's bedroom. Enjoying a plasma TV screen and Dolby surround sound, visitors can get into the mood for their next DVD evening at home, relax and enjoy the high quality of Nero Digital, the audio/video codec solution.
"For some people Nero still stands for software to burn CDs," says Jim Corbett, Executive Director of Nero AG. "But Nero is much more than that: Our four product lines cover all spheres of living. This is exactly what we want to show in our house set up here at the CeBIT fair."
The Nero AG press conference will take place on March 10th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Convention Center in conference room 1B.
