Mitsubishi Chemicals Release DVD-R Media For High Quality Sound Recordings
Mitsubishi Kagaku Media Co., Ltd. (MKM) today introduced a new mastering disc called the "Green Tune" DVD-R. "Green Tune" is a mastering disc that maximizes sound reproduction quality and meets the requirement for professional operations in the music studio.
The new disc will be marketed to professionals in Japan starting in the middle of October.
The new DVD-R media offer a capacity of 4.7GB and can be recorded at speeds of up 1x~4x.
To record and reproduce sound with the highest possible fidelity, "Green Tune" DVD-R discs offer a gold reflective layer for high reliability and longevity, as well as the AZO technology which have a well-earned reputation for fidelity and reliability.
The discs can be used in mastering process of audio discs and support the DDP (Disc Description Protocol), the file format used to store DVD image content onto a DLT tape or other physical media.
