New Nero 12.5 Multimedia Suite Update Beefs Up Video Capabilities
Nero has released a new version of its Nero 12 and Nero 12 Platinum multimedia suites, expanding mobile device support for video converting and bringing greater customisation and control to video editing.
The updated Nero Recode makes it easy and fast to rip and convert your videos to watch on other devices. The update includes pre-configured device profiles for the latest generation of tablets and smartphones, including the iPad Mini, iPad with Retina Display, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5G, iPod Nano 7G, Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro tablets, Windows 8 Phone and Kindle Fire HD.
Nero Recode also now automatically detects a computer?s GPGPU hardware and uses it by default to finish video converting jobs four to eight times faster.
Improvements have also been made to the usability of the product. The new Job2Device feature groups video converting jobs by target device. This makes it easier to see the status of all the videos that are being converted for a particular device.
Nero Video already offers hundreds of video effects and themes, including new video stabilisation and vintage-style film effects in the Nero 12 Platinum edition. Now Nero Film Effects and video stabilisation settings can be tweaked and saved as drag-and-drop templates to be used again in future projects.
The overall performance of Nero Video was also improved to make editing and exporting faster. It now uses memory more efficiently to allow for longer and more involved projects. It also boosts the viewing and editing experience for HD formats such as AVCHD 2.0.
In addition, the application can automatically match the music duration to the duration of the project, including photos and video clips. When appropriate, this feature uses intelligent looping and auto fades to fill gaps in the music track to make the project and music match perfectly. It also works in reverse, matching the duration of a photo slideshow to whatever music has been selected.
