The PX-716A model supports 4X recording speed for the DVD+R DL format. In the following table are summarized all the media we tried with the specific drive:

- Writing Tests

We burned four different DVD+R DL discs with DVD-Video content. The source disc was "Gladiator Movie - Special Edition" disc1 with a total size of 6.86GB. First, we transferred the movie to the hard disc with DVD Decrypter as ISO format (single file). Afterwards, we used CopyToDVD v3.0.35.

First, we tried with Verbatim Double Layer media. CopyToDVD reported 23:33mins total burning time with 3.77X average writing speed.

Then we repeated the same task, this time with media from Traxdata. CopyToDVD reported 24:40mins total burning time with 3.6X average writing speed.

After with a media from Philips. CopyToDVD reported 23:36mins total burning time with 3.76X average writing speed.

Finally, we again repeated the task, with Ricoh media this time. According to CopyToDVD, the recording time was 23:41mins with an average speed of 3.75X.
