For checking exactly what the Plextor PX-716A reports, we used three different media, burned with other writers. The three media have been measured with the well known AudioDev SA300 DVD CATS system at 1X.

The drive is capable of reporting PI/PIF errors, so we will compare those measurements for 2X reading speed and middle accuracy.

Please note that the posted results are only valid for the specific tested Plextor drive. Using other drives, even another PX-716A, can produce totally different results. Be aware!

The Plextor burner failed to finish the scaning test and reported errors. However, from the results we have, either the trendlines are similar or the values.
