We had already tested the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280 A-RGB series and we were impressed by its performance. We wanted also to test the bigger 360 and 420 variations to see what kind of performance improvements users can expect... The Liquid Freezer III series features some improvements but more or less similar performance levels to the previous Liquid Freezer II series since more or less the same fans are being used.

The Liquid Freezer III series comes in various dimensions starting from 240/280/360/420mm radiator size and various colors for users to choose from. Installation is OK, provided that you have a basic understanding of mounting CPU coolers and of course by looking at the online mounting guide/video that Arctic offers. While the mounting mechanism works, we think that probably the mounting mechanism of the Liquid Freezer II series is somewhat better in contact method and security of the bottom plate.

Passing to the performance area, the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420 A-RGB is at the top of our testing at least with the tested system (AMD AM5 7950X) that tops at 222watt. However performance differences between the various sizes weren't as impressive as we wanted to see, and the small Liquid Freezer III 280 A-RGB has very close performance and a much smaller size. Using another test system (like an Intel 14900K) will introduce higher performance differences since Intel CPUs produce much higher TDPs during testing. The Liquid Freezer III 360 A-RGB for a strange reason didn't perform as well as we had hoped, and was worse than what the Liquid Freezer III 280 A-RGB can produce (again with our test system).

Concluding, we find the Arctic Liquid Freezer III series, a perfect product for all users who want to enter into AIO water cooling, since it has so many different options to choose from (colors/sizes) and at the same time, almost unreal low retail prices (for a limited period). The best part is that the 280/360/420 AIO don't have high price differences, even for most AMD users we would suggest the 280 size, while Intel users can move to 420 if their PC case can handle it. The 6-year warranty is another big bonus so hurry up to get this product with the reduced price.
