Industry veteran John Tafoya joins Ahead Software

Ahead Software AG, creator of the world famous CD Recording application NERO(TM), announces the appointment of John Tafoya as Vice President of Business Development. John Tafoya has been influential in driving CD recording hardware and software from concept to mass-market adoption. Most recently he served as Director of Business Development at Roxio, Inc., where he led the firm's strategic direction, establishing and managing relationships with Microsoft, Real Networks and other industry leaders. ``We are excited to welcome John Tafoya, a proven leader in this industry,'' states Udo Eberlein, President of Ahead Software, Inc. U.S. headquarters. ``He is a key addition to Ahead's team. His extensive business experience in CD/DVD Recording along with his energy will be invaluable to our ongoing success.''

Tafoya previously was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CeQuadrat a CD-Recording software company with offices in Aachen, Germany and Palo Alto, California. He established and directed the U.S. office and successfully penetrated the American and Asian markets, growing sales from $1.4 million to $11 million in only four years. In addition, he held several key senior positions at Philips Electronics and NEC Electronics.
