Sony announces new external combo recorder (CRXP-90MU)
Sony Japan announces a new external combo recorder with the codename CRXP-90MU. The new drive supports 24x writing, 10x re-writing, 24x reading (CD), 8x reading (DVD), 8MB Buffer and PowerBurn as the main buffer underrun technology. In addition, the connection interface is USB 2.0 and supports Sony's MemoryStick interface. With USB 1.1 interface the drive drops its reading/recording speeds down to 6X-8X.
