Toshiba Kira Ultrabook Has A 22-hour Battery Life
Toshiba just announced the Dynabook Kira V634/27K laptop in Japan that has a 22 hours (!) of battery life.
Of course, this extremely high battery life can be achieved under super-optimal conditions. In addition, it can be attributed to Toshiba's own BIOS that controls the hardware.
The Dynabook Kira V634/27K has a not so power-hungry 13.3-inch, 1366-by-768 display without a touchscreen function. It is powered by an Intel Core i5-4200U (1.6GHz) processor, is has 8GB DDR3L-1600 memory, an 128Gb SSD, Harman/kardon speakers and runs Windows 8.1. OS. The notebook also sports a magnesium alloy-clad case and its weight is just 1.12kg, since it features small printed circuit boards (PCBs).
The Dynabook Kira V634/27K costs $1450 and will retail later this month in Japan.
