Toshiba Unveils New PCs, Refreshes Excite Tablets
Toshiba today introduced three new devices in its Excite family of Android tablets, along with a completely redesigned Qosmio X75 laptop and PX35t All-In-One Touchscreen Desktop Computer.
Toshiba released the Excite Pro, Excite Write and Excite Pure tablets. The Excite Pro and Write models introduce entertainment and productivity possibilities while Pure delivers essential performance and features at a lower price point. The Excite Write also comes equipped with a touchscreen digitizer for precision pen and handwriting. All three models are powered by Android 4.2, Jelly Bean.
Excite Pro and Excite Write models are the first Toshiba tablets to feature a 2560 x 1600 native screen resolution (300 pixels per inch) and 10.1-inch PixelPure display. The tablets also utilize Harman Kardon stereo speakers and audio enhanced with DTS Premium Voice Pro audio processing technology.
The Excite Write is also outfitted with a digitizer display and precision TruPen featuring 1024 pressure points, bringing a 'pen and paper' experience to the tablet screen. Toshiba's TruNote application provides an easy way to store, organize, navigate and edit notes. In addition, with a full version of ThinkFree Office Mobile for Android, Write users can easily create and edit documents with greater accuracy. Productivity capabilities are enhanced further with TruCapture, a Toshiba-developed application that quickly captures whiteboard content using the tablet's built-in camera and converts the snapshot for easier integration into presentations and documents.
All three Excite models are equipped with the processing power of NVIDIA Tegra. Pro and Write models are among the first to feature the NVIDIA Tegra 4 mobile processor. Equipped with an 8MP F2.2 camera, Pro and Write models offer robust photo-taking capabilities by enabling high-dynamic range (HDR) and panorama effects, in addition to steadier shooting with enhanced image stabilization.
For consumers on a budget, Excite Pure delivers the performance of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor.
Toshiba also offers a protective 2-in-1 keyboard cover that fits all the new Excite tablets. It features a raised tile Bluetooth keyboard and magnetized notch that allows the tablet to easily prop up the tablet screen.

The PX35t comes with an edge-to-edge glass with 10-finger multi-touch support and a base, plus a wireless, pre-paired, raised-tile keyboard and modern-looking mouse.
With up to a massive 16GB of RAM and configurable with 4th generation Intel Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processors, users can run today's popular software and power though multi-media management, school assignments, games and movies with ease or enjoy broadcast programming from a set-top box with the HDMI input. What's more, everyone in the house can share 1TB of high-speed 7200 RPM storage for videos, files, pictures and music. The PX35t is also equipped with speech recognition software to allow users to control the All-in-One PC with their voice.
