Error Correction Tests - Asus SCB-2408

In the following tests we check the behavior of Asus SCB-2408 when it comes to reading scratched / defected discs. The test discs we use are the ABEX Test Discs series from ALMEDIO.

The Asus SCB-2408 gave back a few loudness errors, and some of them were muted. The reported average error was -73.8dB(A), which is low, and no synchronization problems occurred. The performance of the drive is good and the average score is 76.9 points out of 100.

ABEX 721R

Nero CDSpeed quality test with the 721R Abex disc gave Asus an adequate quality score: 64.2 points out of 100. However, the estimated C2 accuracy is very low (33.69%) and 245 sync errors were reported.
