CD-R Tools
CD-R Tools is a free solution for checking C2 errors on your discs. The complete package can be downloaded over here. There is GUI for windows that can be found over here. In order to start the tests; you must open a dos window and first run the scgcheck.exe that will show the ID of our selected reader. Each device will have an ID like "x,x,x", where X can take either 0 or 1 value.
After, you type readcd -dev=(x,x,x) -c2scan. An example is showed in the following image. Our test disc includes 0.000077% C2 errors as the software reports. Note that results will vary from drive to drive since not all drives can report C2 errors accurately. The software reads the disc in full speed.
There is the possibility also to determine amount of the sectors to be scanned (with the additional parameter -sectors=x-y ):
readcd -dev=x,x,x -c2scan -sectors=100000-300000
Lastly, in case you wish to have all errors in a txt file, just use the following command:
readcd -dev=x,x,x -c2scan > errors.txt
