Treo 750 Poised for Cingular Debut:
Not quite ready - but American version of the 750 said to be in the works.
Europe's Vodafone was the first carrier to offer a new Windows Mobile-based smartphone from Palm, Inc., the Treo 750v. Since then, Palm's CEO has acknowledged that the 750 will be coming to the United States, but he declined to say exactly when or what carriers will be offering it.
Just yesterday, an image of a Cingular Wireless version of this device has leaked out, giving an indication of at least one of the companies that will be selling this smartphone.
However, this isn't necessarily a sign that this carrier will be offering a version of the Treo 750 anytime soon. According to the web site hosting the picture, the Cingular version is currently very unstable, and it seems a lot of work will need to be done before this unit is ready for release in the U.S.
