Rimage releases Producer II CD-R/DVD-R publishers

Rimage releases Producer II CD-R/DVD-R publishers

General Interest Jan 7,2002 0

Rimage Corporation announced it is now shipping a completely updated version of its Producer II line of CD-R and DVD-R publishers. All units now come standard with 24X CD-R recorders, IEEE 1394 (FireWire(TM)) interface, and our QuickDisc CD/DVD creation software. Additionally, the Amigo II and AutoPrinter have been redesigned and feature an increased bin capacity with four 100-disc bins configurable as input, output or reject. The hallmark feature of the Rimage Producer II line is the ability to provide a customized solution for any given environment. Producer II products offer the most available options with units in configurations from one to eight recorders, the choice of 24X CD-R drives, DVD-R general use (Pioneer DVR A03), DVD-R authoring (Pioneer S-201), or a combination of CD-R and DVD-R drives. Two printing technologies are available for printing indelible labels directly to the surface of CDs and DVDs - the breakthrough Everest(TM) photo-realistic printer or the popular Prism thermal printer. In addition, our Protege II and Autostar II units can be scaled to add additional transporters and accommodate up to 8 drives. ``Being able to offer our clients the freedom and flexibility to create a configuration perfectly suited to their environment is very important to us,'' says Ken Klinck, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. ``Most environments have unique requirements and with our attractive range of options, we are able to help end-users in any given setting incorporate Rimage Publishers into their total solutions.''

The Amigo II one recorder unit has undergone a significant change with a new enclosed design that matches the look of our other Producer II products. The AutoPrinter II also has a new design with a new frame to accommodate the larger carousel with increased disc capacity and is available with either the Everest or the Prism label printer.

Each Producer II unit is a network-based system that sits on a network and can be accessed by an unlimited number of users, much like an office laser printer. All Producer II publishers come with our Producer Software Suite for seamless publishing and duplication which contains all needed tools to create multiple unique-content CD-Rs and DVD-Rs or hundreds of the same. The Producer Software Suite includes unlimited use of Rimage's QuickDisc software, a user interface which features a simple drag-and-drop format for easy disc creation, as well as our CD Designer label editing software. Producer II units start at $9,750.00.
