Maxell 52X CD-R branded media has MID 97m26s66f and probably its based at CMC Magnetics.

With this media, we saw that three DVD recorders didn't managed to recognize the drive and burn it. So they get a 0 score for this test.

As we can see most drives use CAV to ac hive 24X at the other end and have more or less the same average writing speed. The Rioddas BT-638 (HLDS GU10N) due to Zone-CLV has lower average writing speed.

After the burn process, we tried to read the burned disc with the same drive and wrote down their average reading speed.

The highest reading speed came from the Pop-up (Optiarc AD-7560A). After many hours measuring all discs we have our burn quality results.

The drives with the lowest C1/C2 errors are expected to get higher score points even they burn slower a disc. After all we all want perfectly readable discs.

The HLDS PortableDVD again manages to produce low C1 and C2 error rates, or at least much better than its competitors and therefore get the first place with 8.30 points (9points max) with this media.
