After so many pages of burn and test results we made a total sum for the CD-R format.

At this roundup, the best drive with the CD-R media we tested was the HLDS PortableDVD (HLDS GP96Y) since reached the top of our tests with 44.60 points. The second best drive Rodzone A11-SU3 (HLDS GT50N) also seems a nice choice for burning. Users should avoid the last placed drives since they produced low quality burns.

Passing to the DVD+/-R format, again we made a sum for all tested media. Not all drives are the same but for sure there is one drive that produced stable burns with so many media and got the first place.

As our tests showed, the HLDS PortableDVD (HLDS GP96Y) again got the first place with a very good 102.65 points ( 117points max), with the two next drives are also based upon HLDS drives, even much older drives couldn't reach the burning quality of the newest manufactured drive.
