The last media comes from Verbatim 8X DVD+R DL with MKM 003 (000) media ID code.

Not all tested drives recognized the Verbatim 8X DVD+R DL media. Three drives failed to recognized the empty disc and got a zero score at this test.

The three first drives managed to get around 4.96~4.99X writing speeds. The Cocopa ECD813-Y (TSSTcorp SN-208AB) had much lower writing speed... After the burn process, we tried to read the burned disc with the same drive and wrote down their average reading speed.

The Rioddas BT-638 (HLDS GU10N) had the highest reading speed with 5.80X.... After many hours measuring all discs we have our burn quality results.

The drives with the lowest PIE/PIF error rates are expected to get higher score points even they burn slower a disc. After all we all want perfectly readable discs.

With the Verbatim 8X DVD+R media, the HLDS PortableDVD (HLDS GP96Y) managed to produce the lowest error rates among all tested drives so it got the first place with 8.40 points.
