Maxell 52X PRINTABLE CD-R branded media has MID 97m15s17f and probably its based at Ritek. Its "exactly" the same media as the Imation 52X CD-R so performance should be the same, we will find out later on.

As we saw earlier again the the Cocopa ECD813-Y (TSSTcorp SN-208AB) didn't recognized the media so it got a zero score

More or less all drives showed similar performance as with the Imation 52X CD-R media.

After the burn process, we tried to read the burned disc with the same drive and wrote down their average reading speed.

Apart from the Cocopa ECD813-Y (TSSTcorp SN-208AB) that couldn't recognize the inserted blank CD-R media, the Pop-up (Optiarc AD-7560A) also didn't recognized its burned media...strange behavior.

After many hours measuring all discs we have our burn quality results. Compared with the Imation 52X CD-R media, the Maxell 52X CD-R media produced much lower error C1 and C2 error rates in all tests...Even media with the same MID can have different batches of quality.

The drives with the lowest C1/C2 errors are expected to get higher score points even they burn slower a disc. After all we all want perfectly readable discs.

The HLDS PortableDVD again manages to produce low C1 and C2 error rates, or at least much better than its competitors and therefore get the first place with 8.20 points (9points max) with this media. Again users should avoid Rioddas BT-638 (HLDS GU10N) since it produced many errors and got the last weighted score with this media.
