Let's now see some of the menus of WSES software. Under the "Utilities" section we can find several functions like:

NEVER execute the "CLEAR EEPROM" command; else your drive will be destroyed without the option to repair it! Accessing the "SET CD Speed" menu, we can set the reading/writing speed for some of the tests:

We can also set the PCI mode of the drive and read the M/B chipset:

Let's now move one step higher and see what's under the "DRIVE EXERCISE" menu. There we can find the commands for checking various items in CD-RW, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives. Also we can check the Seek/Access times and read error rates:
